Gamblin' in Vegas

Sorry we haven’t posted our story sooner but with all the oxygen they pump into the casinos we haven’t slept since Valentine’s Day.  When we finally left the hotel, we saw the gondolas but, even more exciting, we are now off to join our matey’s at Treasure Island. It looks like they could use our help!

Me maties and I sailed through misty rain and fog
Anchored in New Jersey and were greeted with grog.
After many A’hoys, we gathered and settled in
For the Ceremony was said to very soon begin.

Like plank-walkers they strolled slowly down the aisle
Beautifully dressed and topped with a smile,
A pause for a moment after all others did pass
“Shiver me Timbers” appeared a fine fair Lass!

Smartly she walked to join her Bucaneer
For tis day forward Me Beauty would hold her so dear.
The Lass circled me Mate, then he the Fair Lass,
The ceremony completed with the breaking of a glass.
Me Mate and Me Beauty were now newly wed
Had a treasure-like ketubah and that’s what it said.

Off to the deck we were all quickly led
To drink and be merry, but most of all fed.
Tis after we all did splice the mainbrace,
We were asked to be seated in our own special place.

Once we were all settled in the main room
We awaited the arrival of the Bride and Groom.
Tis when we all rose and raised ye a glass
For a moment I thought me too had to smash.

The Lass and me Mate were placed in a chair
Then suddenly both lifted real high in the air.
The music was festive and merrily loud
I suddenly found meself caught up in the crowd.

Soon came the time to be on our way
But before we set sail we needed to say…

Tis this day forward begins a wonderful New Life
A Joyful Husband, a Blissful Wife
As you both share together  life’s Joy and Pleasure
You’ll find your Love to be the most Precious Treasure.

Yo ho ho, and a glass of champagne!

I was planning to thank you in person for the delicious Valentine’s chocolate but didn’t see you last night. So…thank you, thank you! My pirate has gone to good use on my goof-ball daughter’s finger who has used it to enact mini-plays.   Also – as usual things went very well last night. You have a delightful team that are a pleasure to work with always.

Hello Mateys,

This is Percy. I see that many of you are having very exciting adventures. I am sorry I could not report back sooner but I was traveling, as you will see, and had limited access to voicemail and email.

Where do I start? I couldn’t wait to get on the road and explore the vast reaches of America. I didn’t have a watch with me as I traveled from the chocolate factory but, as I sat in my chocolate box, it seemed like forever until I finally saw the light of day. Well shiver my timbers, was I surprised.

Turns out I was in Israel! No wonder it took so long to arrive. And boy was I HUNGRY, how much chocolate can you eat without some grog to wash it down?

So I hoped on the first car fender I could find and off I went in search of food.

I must admit that even I was a bit nervous about their driving. And all that sand – good thing I don’t have any hair for it to get tangled in!

I jumped off at the first restaurant I saw. It smelled so good and people were really enjoying themselves.

Unfortunately, I could not read all the strange marking on the menu, so I just pointed and hoped for the best. Have no idea what I ate but It was yummy.

Next day, I decided to go exploring. I hopped on the fender of a tour bus and off we went to Bet She’An where they have dug up an old Roman city, pillars and all.

The tour bus then stopped at a beautiful waterfall.  I couldn’t resist and went for a solitary walk in the peaceful lagoon below.

Well, BLOW ME DOWN, as I rounded a corner expecting to see more wonders of nature, I found myself in the midst of a restricted area!

I didn’t have me musket so I high tailed it out real quick!

By the end of the day my friends and I (turns out the bus was full of young singles), decided to hit the Tel Aviv night life. Let me tell you, they sure know how to party!

I really felt it the next day but I was determined to push through it.  Bleary-eyed, I staggered to the beach placing a seashell on my head for protection from the sun.

After drinking a lot of water, I felt well enough to  surf the Mediterranean.

Ahoy there! Here I am waiting for my big wave. It certainly seems calm to me.

Sun and sand — not a care in the world.

Arg, here is the result!

For my final day in Israel I went to Jerusalem.  Here I am walking around the Old City.
